the champions in watchweald all have poison resistance so expect to have a lot of trouble with them, if you do almost no damage to them and don't have a good enough fire-ice-elec wand, just run away and skip that fightīoss fight : before you enter the arena I would suggest to go back and buy at least 30-30 health mana potions and spam them especially the mana ones you'll want to shoot glaive throw non-stop, dont go anywhere near the regent (he can do 1400hp in 1hit at close range) don't go near the hole in the middle or the giant tentacles will slap you hard, don't kill the regent on the left of the map near the chest it can bug and 1shot you after you "activate" the guardian, oh and try to avoid being hit/shot by the horse-guardian thing it will slow you down a lotĪct1 is where you are likely to die, unlocking cursed daggers at lv21 will greatly improve your survivability and when you reach lv31 and unlock the stone pact 25% damage reflection you will be very hard to kill. Watchweald Temple- before you enter buy 1-2 poison armor potions (use them on floor 1-2) and 1 electricity armor potion (the minions do electric damage) never ever enter the icedeep cave (taking notes quest) the damage done by the boss there is in the range of a lv35 hero, if you plan to survive elite it's not the last time you will have to skip a dungeon-area, lots of them are badly balanced avoid mirkas for now and try to find the area with netherims or bandits (east and west of the map usually) clearing the frosted hills map now to level up is counter-productive you will either die or waste a ton of potions to survive the netherim mobs have poison resistance so you really need to equip a wand with another type of damage (fire if possible), glaive won't be very effective against them and some champions have so much resist that your only damage will be that wand don't underestimate the small goblin bowmen they hit hard often from outside/the edge of the screen, receiving 5+ arrows simulteanously can happen never ever try to fight a mirka mage as long as there are others mobs around, you will have to escape his ice bolts and run away from his tornadoes, they don't hit once but damage you as long as you stay on them which quickly adds up to 3x your maximum health, for that same reason never fight them in tight quarters but in an open space, if the tornadoes stay on you more than 2-3s you're dead almost all the mirkas have a freeze-slow attack (which I suspect stack) expect to be stuck in place unable to escape you can use your basic mana potions but only use the best health ones kiting is your only chance of survival for now, lure 1 monster kill him, rince and repeat You will have unused skill points that you can use however you like, if you plan to do tarroch tomb runs I suggest taking venomous hail 15/15 and the rest in long range mastery, glaive have one weakness, they fly above goo/slimes so you need something to clear those in tarroch tomb, you can have a poison/elemental pistol/shotgonne as secondary weapon and use venom hail.įrosted Hills- if you think the game was hard before think again this will be 10x harder, as soon as you enter the area you can be bombarded by 500hp hits Torchlight hardcore is crazy tense awesome fun. Lv97-100 : max shattering glaive, it is incredibly powerful at 15/15 but does less damage than 5/15 glaive throw till then >< 10 Hardcore Tips and Tricks for Torchlight 2 (levels 1-20) MRAAKTAGON 10 Hardcore Tips and Tricks for Torchlight 2 (levels 1-20) Still alive, but for how long A list a list a LIST Torchlight 2 is good fun. Torchlight 2 is good fun.Skill priorities :- do not spend points on anything else than those skills, you will need all your points after lv21 We’ve played hardcore since the release (and many of us in the beta back in May got on the Hardcore train) and lordy we have learned some harsh lessons and want to impart them to YOU dear reader (and Matt and Steve who are waiting for the Mac version). We started with a blind run (well, those of us not in the beta) so we haven’t seen most of the game and every piece of content has had to be EARNED with hardcore deaths (sometimes piles of them).īy Hardcore, I mean hardcore Elite– so the most damage to your character, the most hit points on monsters and whatever nastiness Runic wanted to throw deep inside the Elite hole. Only one of us has gotten beyond level 20 (sensless) and they died shortly after while heading back and farming ACT 1 (!?). Here’s stuff to help you get to level 20. It’s not easy but with these tips and some conservative play, you may yet survive.Choose your class carefully for Hardcore.
